You can make a difference in a student's life!
Each year, Computer Information Technology students need to complete a work-based practicum experience. Your mentorship can make this possible!
How it works:
- Students need to complete a 200-hour practicum, between January and June
- There is no expectation of pay for the practicum
- Practicums can be offered on a part-time basis from January to April, or full-time from late-April (after exams) to mid-June
You:
- Sign a simple agreement with the college
- Be a mentor to a CIT student
- Complete an evaluation form after the first 100 hours of work, and again after 200
Student:
- Signs a host/student agreement
- Treats the practicum as a job
- Maintains a professional attitude and high level of participation
